Despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam exported over 422,000 tonnes of cashew kernel in the first 10 months of this year, up 12% over the same period in 2019, meeting 94% of the set plan for 2020.
Vietnam surpassed India for the first time in 2006 to become the world-leading exporter of cashew kernel, with an export volume of 127,000 tonnes worth US$504 million.

Vietnam has made all efforts to improve the growth and exportation of cashew kernel to the foreign market for some time now. This is even with the rising competition from countries like Brazil, India, and Ivory Coast.
However, Vietnam has turned around the whole conversation by retaining its strong position as the leading exporter of cashew nuts to foreign markets. Currently, Vietnam is the leading exporter of cashew nuts in the international market with an export volume that surpasses 55% of the entire global production.
Reports and research continue to show that Vietnam’s cashew kernel production and exportation industry is still promising even soon. It is still a productive industry that promises vast opportunities prospectively due to the rising demand for cashew nuts and dried fruits. This is because of the need to safeguard the health needs of consumers who reside in many different parts of the world.
