Strengthening Vietnam-Algeria Business Connections

It is an honor for Visimex to support the Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria in facilitating the online platform connection for the Vietnam-Algeria business connection meeting on June 18th, 2023. This event serves as a significant opportunity to foster connections between Vietnamese and Algerian enterprises, while showcasing high-quality agricultural products from Vietnam, including cashews, pepper, cinnamon, anise, copra, and more to Algerian businesses.

During the trade conference, the Trade Office presented an overview of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, highlighting various business opportunities. Algerian businesses attending the event had the chance to review catalogs and product samples from Vietnamese companies and were impressed by the exceptional quality of Vietnamese products, surpassing those from other Asian countries. Additionally, Algerian enterprises expressed their interest in exporting items such as dates, olive oil, flavorings, chicken feet, lobster, sea cucumbers, and more to Vietnam. This also reinforces the call for Vietnamese businesses to collaborate and invest in Algeria, particularly in the fields of poultry farming, aquaculture, and construction.

Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening face-to-face transactions and engaging in discussions on secure import-export payment methods, building trust, and enhancing logistics in international trade.

Visimex not only contributed by introducing its product range but also provided technical support for the Trade Deal event, facilitating seamless connections between Vietnamese and Algerian businesses. Following the event, Visimex Corporation’s products and catalogs were proudly displayed by the Vietnam Trade Office at the 2023 Algiers International Fair, further establishing the reputation and quality of Vietnamese products.

According to Vietnam Customs data, the import-export turnover between Vietnam and Algeria has witnessed a remarkable surge, reaching approximately 116 million USD within the first 5 months of 2023, demonstrating an impressive growth rate of over 80% compared to the same period last year.
