Moring of October 14, 2022, Van Yen Cinnamon Festival officially began in Mau A Town, Van Yen, Yen Bai. Participating in the exhibition this year, Visimex brought our signature organic and conventional products, such as Cinnamon (cassia), Star anise, Cashew nuts, Pepper, Coffee bean, and desiccated coconut, to introduce to visitors.

2022 Van Yen Cinnamon Festival activities

The exhibition program under the framework of the Van Yen Cinnamon Festival lasts from October 13 to 15, 2022.

In addition to the main commercial purpose, the festival also organizes cultural activities such as the contest “Charming cinnamon girls” and a Photo exhibition of 150 typical artistic images of Yen Bai. Furthermore, “Improving the value and brand of cinnamon Van Yen” Scientific conference; The cinnamon product processing contest has the theme “The quintessence of cinnamon land,” and other activities will be organized.

The highlight of the Que Van Yen Festival is a particular cultural program on the opening event of October 14, elaborately built with the content of honoring historical values and helping locals and tourists understand. Learn more about the process of reclamation and village establishment and the presence and development of cinnamon trees here, and at the same time, learn about the unique characteristics of the traditional cultural values ​​of the indigenous Red Dao people.

Van Yen – the land of cinnamon

Van Yen district, Yen Bai province, is famous for being “the land of cinnamon”. This place has the best climate and soil conditions for growing cinnamon trees, especially organic cinnamon.
Each year, Van Yen district exploits 5,000 tons cinnamon bark, 65,000 tons leaves, and 50,800 m3 wood. The cinnamon tree brings in revenue from 600-800 billion dong. Cinnamon has effectively contributed to the construction of new rural areas in the localities. Beside, they helps reducing the poor households rate by the end of 2021 to 18%.
