According to data from Eurostat, in the first 7 months of 2021, the Netherlands imported 35.4 thousand tons of cashew nuts, worth EUR 205.62 million (equivalent to USD 238.52 million), up 2.1% in volume, but decreased by 9.4% in value over the same period in 2020.

In the first 7 months of this year, the Netherlands increased its cashew nut imports from Vietnam and Ivory Coast, but reduced imports from India and Brazil.

In which, cashew nut imports from Vietnam to the Netherlands reached 29.13 thousand tons, worth 167 million EUR (193.83 million USD), up 8.0% in volume, but down 3.1% in value. compared to the same period in 2020.

Vietnam’s cashew nut market share in total Dutch imports accounted for 82.29% in the first 7 months of 2021, higher than 77.74% in the first 7 months of 2020.

According to the General Department of Customs, in the first nine months of 2021, the Netherlands is the third largest market for Vietnam’s cashew nuts with 53,072 tons, worth $291 million, up 15.2% in volume but down 2.9% in value. prices compared to the same period in 2020.
