Recently Visimex Sai Gon Joint Stock Company (VISSG,.JSC) completed the assessment and received only “Organic Production Methods” from Control Union (CU) for the US market and Europe. With this certification, Visimex continues to export organic products to the two markets mentioned above, including cashew kernels, pepper, cinnamon, star-anise, copra, and coffee.
Organic production is the production of food that does not interfere with the natural life cycle, minimizes human impact on the environment, and works as naturally as possible without the use of GMO(*). Organic production is part of a broad supply chain, including food processing, distribution and retail. To suit the organic market, Visimex’s entire organic production line has been assessed and certified organic.
Control Union certifications are recognized by national licensing authorities, industry accreditation bodies, and government licensing agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
To receive the certification is the collective effort of Visimex staff, affirming the value of Visimex products and brands in the domestic and international markets.
*Note:
GMO – Genetically Modified Organism” – genetic material that has been artificially altered in the laboratory through genetic engineering to create combinations that are inherently impossible naturally occurring in plants, animals, bacteria and viral genes.
